Classical composer Darius Milhaud was born on this day in 1892. Milhaud wrote “Suite for Harmonica and Orchestra” for Larry Adler in 1943.
The legendary Pete Pedersen was a master arranger as well as a terrific harmonica player. During his career he worked with the Harmonica Madcaps, The Harmonica Rascals, The Don Henry Trio and the Harmonaires as well as writing most of the arrangements for the Harmonicats. Pedersen was born on this day in 1925.
Country / Rock musician Gene Parsons was born on this day in 1944. Parsons plays several instruments, including the harmonica and during his career he played with The Byrds, Arlo Guthrie, The Everly Brothers, The Flying Burrito Brothers and many others.
