Chicago Blues harmonica god Little Walter Jacobs was born on this day in 1930. During his short time on earth Walter completely revolutionized the way Blues harmonica was played.
Blues, Celtic and Folk guitar and harmonica player Glenn Weiser has been playing music since he was 16 years old. He’s written three books on how to play the harmonica. Weiser was born on this day in 1952.
Steve Baker began playing the harmonica at the age of 16 and about two years later was playing professionally. He is the author of the book, The Harp Handbook. Baker was born on this day in 1953.
Classical composer Aram Khachaturian died on this day in 1978. Khachaturian wrote “Armenian Rhapsody for Mouth Organ and Orchestra” for Larry Adler.
