Harmonica Almanac – December 29

In addition to playing Bass guitar and flute for The Moody Blues, Ray Thomas occasionally played the harmonica, especially in the early days when they were more of an R&B band. Thomas was born on this day in 1941.

Classical composer Luciano Chailly wrote “Improvvisazione No. 9 for Harmonica, Strings and Percussion” For John Sebastian in 1962. Chailly died on this day in 2002.

That’s it for today. Have fun and practice!
