Country Singer-songwriter, guitar and harmonica player Billy Cox learned to play the harmonica from his mother. He played and recorded steadily from the 1920’s until he fell into obscurity in the 1940’s. Cox died on this day in 1968.

Country harmonica player Jimmie Riddle died on this day in 1982. Riddle started playing at the age of four and was playing professionally while he was still in his teens. He preferred the chromatic harmonica for playing country music.

That’s it for today. Have fun and practice!
