Harmonica Almanac – April 27

Harding “Hop” Wilson

Harding “Hop” Wilson

Blues steel guitar and harmonica player Harding “Hop” Wilson was born on this day in 1921. Wilson learned to play the harmonica while growing up in Texas and his nickname came from the way he pronounced the word harp. He began playing professionally in 1956 and remained active in music until his death in 1975.

That’s it for today. Have fun and practice!
