Rock singer and harmonica player Jimmy Hall was born on this day in 1949. Hall fronted the band, Wet Willie and played a great harmonica solo on their biggest hit, “Keep on Smilin’”. Hall has also worked with the Allman Brothers and other groups as well as recording solo albums.

Arbee Stidham

Arbee Stidham

Blues singer, sax, guitar and harmonica player Arbee Stidham came from a musical family and by the time he was thirteen he was playing behind Bessie Smith. He continued working in music before retiring in 1974. Stidham died on this day in 1988.
